Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs

We have been learning plenty of facts about Dinosaurs! We have learnt these facts from books, the internet, You Tube clips, songs and asking experts (adults!) We drew some pictures of dinosaurs, which we coloured and dyed! We then told everyone about our picture- what was happening in our picture and some facts that we had learnt about Dinosaurs! We also tried to use describing words to make it more interesting! Our pictures have made our classroom very bright and cheerful!

Stu Duval

Stu Duval

This term Stu Duval came to visit our school. He is a brilliant story teller and an amazing artist!

He got the kids to give him the characters and the setting for a story. He encouraged them to use describing words.Stu then drew an amazing picture with chalk on black paper- setting the scene for the story! He then proceeded to keep all of us (kids and staff!) totally enthralled for the next 45 minutes with a remarkable story using the characters that the children had given him.It was extremely entertaining, very amusing and an excellent learning experience for all! The next day Room 6 gave it a go! We brainstormed some characters and a setting, we drew some pictures on black paper with pastels and then we wrote our stories. We tried really hard to make them interesting and entertaining by using describing words! Please enjoy our pictures and stories! We are getting "better than before!"
